Set in Slindon Auxiliary Military Hospital during World War Two, a team of brave nurses of the Red Cross are fighting to save the lives of our injured servicemen with all the care and attention they can muster, whilst keeping a stiff upper lip and a sense of humour. When Matron receives the shocking information that there is a German spy at work at the hospital, she tasks her nurses with finding the spy and "smoking the bugger out".
